Paystack fees in South Africa
Paystack’s South African pricing page lists 2.9% plus R1 per local card transaction, excluding VAT. The R1 is waived on transactions under R10. Capitec Pay and Ozow EFT are 2% with no flat fee. There is no monthly fee, and standard payouts are free after 2 working days.

The quoted rate excludes 15% VAT, so the amount a merchant pays is higher than 2.9%. International cards are a separate 3.1% plus R1, also excluding VAT. Bank transfers that are not a settlement are listed at R3 each.
