South African fibre price questions
These answers describe the fibre comparison. It covers uncapped Vumatel home lines only.
Which fibre providers are compared?
RSAWEB, Afrihost, and Webafrica, for uncapped Vumatel home fibre. Openserve, Frogfoot, and other networks are not in this list, and a street on those networks can have a different price.
How is the cheapest fibre line chosen?
The rank uses the lowest monthly price whose download speed covers the speed you select. If you require matching upload, only lines where upload is at least the download speed are kept.
Are signup and router fees included in the monthly price?
No. The monthly rank is the published monthly price. A once-off fee is shown beside it only when that provider’s page stated the amount. A fee the page did not state is left out.
Does the comparison check if fibre reaches my address?
No. The prices are the published package prices. Coverage, promos, and installation at a specific address have to be confirmed on the provider’s page before you order.
